Originally from New York,
Robin moved to Los Angeles to attend The Fashion Institute of
Design and Merchandising. After graduating she went to work
at Silvia's Costume Shop in Hollywood and had the opportunity
to meet and work with some of the top movie, television, and
costume designers in the business.
After two years at Silvia's Costumes,
Robin moved on to participate in all forms of media: television,
commercials, videos, features and independent films.
Her first long running series was the sitcom "Coach" for creator and Executive Producer Barry Kemp. It was an amazing experience to help create the look of the show and the characters, and grow with them over 9 seasons and 199 episodes.
After that came two very different long running series, "Yes Dear" & "My Name is Earl" for Creator and Executive Producer Greg Garcia. One a hybrid sitcom and the other a very unique single camera episodic comedy where Robin had the opportunity to create memorable characters and hundreds of specialty costumes.
In between series and seasons… Robin loves working on pilots, enjoys collaborating with other designers and working with private clients.
Jay Kleckner, Producer "Coach" & "Yes Dear"
"I have worked with
Robin on over three hundred episodes of television and on
both shows she led her department to perfect wardrobe for
the leads and guest cast week after week. Her vision was always
accurate to character and story, and the execution was done
on time, on budget, and with a great deal of class."
